Dissatisfied Witches

Here are a couple things I did in lifedrawing last year:

The first one was done in some kind of soft-ish pencil and I darkened it up to be more visible.
The great thing about lifedrawing at Sheridan is that the models sort of become characters in costume - it makes it much more easy to think of an interesting scenario and draw it well... Towards the second half of 3rd year we're encouraged to start bringing our own style and ideas into our drawings and, for me, that didn't make sense. For some reason it finally clicked for me in Geordie Millar's class in 4th year. The key is to interpret, not copy what you see.

Sailor Man

My new-found love of Sailor Moon, combined with a recent watching of True Lies, resulted in this.

Kimbra

A rough digital painting of the musician Kimbra. Admittedly I do not do much digital painting/colouring; this began as a doodle but I thought turned out well enough.
I am repeatedly captivated by her hair and clothing. It's so "Zam Bam WOW!" and cartoony, kind of like her music. That is the sound I will assign to her visual style. Zam-Bam-Wow.

Happy Anime Girl

I have to upload something; This was polished this up from a recent unfinished sketch. I'd felt like drawing a happy smiling somewhat realistic anime girl. Just an impression left from animes with ultra happy women in them...
